Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
IGCSE Master ("the App") is an educational study app for IGCSE students and their parents. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@marveex.com.
2. Information we collect
When you register or use the App, we may collect:
- Account details: name, email address, age, IGCSE exam year, and password (stored securely by Firebase Authentication).
- Subject choices: the IGCSE subjects you select during registration or in preferences.
- Parent linking: parent email address(es) you provide so parents can monitor progress.
- Study progress: test scores, topic attempts, mastery progress, flashcard progress, calendar events, and task reminders.
- Device notifications: if you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide access to notes, tests, flashcards, and your dashboard.
- Save your progress and preferences across sessions.
- Allow linked parent accounts to view their child's progress and receive related notifications.
- Respond to support requests you send to us.
- Improve the App and fix bugs.
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication and cloud storage of profile and progress data.
4. Parent accounts
If you are a student, you may add one or two parent email addresses during registration. Those parents can sign in to view progress linked to your account. Parents should only use emails you have authorised. Parents can contact us or use Settings to remove their own account.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored using Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Some preferences and offline progress may also be stored locally on your device. We apply access controls so users can only access data they are authorised to see. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete My Account. When you confirm deletion, we remove your profile and associated App data from our servers and clear local data on your device. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7. Children and students
The App is designed for IGCSE students, often under 18. Students should register with a parent email for monitoring. Parents are responsible for supervising their child's use of the App where required by local law.
8. Your choices
- You can update subject preferences and notification settings in the App.
- You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
- You can sign out or delete your account from Settings.
- You can contact us at support@marveex.com to ask about your data.
9. Third-party services
The App uses Firebase services provided by Google. Google's privacy practices are described at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Apple provides the operating system and App Store distribution; Apple's privacy policy applies to those services separately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

1. Agreement to these terms
By downloading, registering for, or using IGCSE Master ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
2. About the App
IGCSE Master provides study materials for IGCSE subjects, including notes, practice tests, flashcards, progress tracking, exam calendar tools, and optional parent monitoring features.
The App is intended to support learning. It is not a substitute for school teaching, official textbooks, or exam board guidance.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate information when registering (name, email, age, exam year, and subject choices).
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Students may link one or two parent email addresses during registration. Parents receive separate login credentials set during registration.
- You must not create an account using someone else's email without permission.
- You must notify us at support@marveex.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without permission.
- Copy, scrape, redistribute, or resell App content without our written permission.
- Upload harmful code, interfere with the App's operation, or attempt to bypass security controls.
- Misuse parent monitoring features or register parent emails without the parent's knowledge and consent.
- Use the App in a way that harasses, abuses, or harms others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Educational content disclaimer
Study notes, questions, answers, and explanations in the App are provided for revision support only.
- The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Cambridge Assessment International Education or any exam board.
- Content may contain errors or become outdated as syllabuses change. Always verify important information with your teacher and official syllabus materials.
- Test scores and progress indicators are for learning feedback only and do not guarantee exam results.
6. Intellectual property
All App content, design, branding, software, and materials (except third-party services) are owned by or licensed to IGCSE Master and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for your own IGCSE study. You may not reproduce, publish, or commercially exploit App content without our prior written consent.
7. Parent monitoring
Where a student links a parent email, the parent may view that student's progress and related notifications within the App.
- Students should only add parent emails with the parent's permission.
- Parents may only access data for students who have linked their email during registration.
- Parents are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their own login details.
8. Notifications and reminders
The App may offer optional homework, task, and exam reminders via local device notifications. You can manage notification permissions in the App and in iOS Settings. We are not responsible for missed reminders if notifications are disabled or not delivered by your device.
9. Account deletion and termination
- You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete My Account.
- Deleting a student account removes that student's profile and associated data from our systems, subject to our Privacy Policy.
- Deleting a parent account removes the parent profile only; it does not delete linked student accounts.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if required by law.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses. We do not guarantee academic outcomes from use of the App.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IGCSE Master and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or exam results arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Changes to the App and terms
We may update the App, add or remove features, or revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when terms are revised. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the App operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
